The latest global commercial vehicle industry trends
This week, the technological route competition and the diverse terminal demands in the commercial vehicle sector have continuously reshaped the industrial landscape. The core dynamics are as follows: Photos of Scania's new truck have been exposed

The next-generation Scania trucks have been spotted at the Rugao factory in Jiangsu Province, China. This base will supply the entire Asian market in the future. Although the new car's outline is similar to the current R Series, the front end, front fender and A-pillar and other parts are tightly camouflaged, suggesting that its appearance and aerodynamics will be comprehensively upgraded.

Since the road test in 2023, it has gone through the iterations of black and yellow, gray and white, dark blue, and the fourth type of camouflage sticker. The logo project has entered the fine verification stage and is about to be globally launched. In April this year, prototype vehicles simultaneously appeared in China and Switzerland. This new camouflage test demonstrates the synchronous iteration of data and calibration between China and Europe.
DAF has launched an ultra-low chassis solution for car carriers
To return to the car carrier market segment, DAF has launched a complete ultra-low chassis solution based on the Low saddle platform, which is 40mm lower than the previous generation. With 22.5-inch wheels and ultra-low aspect ratio tires, the height of the upper body from the ground is only 83cm (4cm lower than the old CF Low Deck).

The drive forms offer 4x2 and 6x2 options with a 4.5t carrying "baby axle". The small lift axle adopts 17.5-inch wheels, and the front-mounted layout can reduce the load of the drive axle and free up frame space. The chassis is compatible with XD, XF, XG, and XG + cabs. Among them, XD becomes the focus due to its lowest "height" : it comes in two versions including Flat roof and "cut roof", and the "flat-top Sleeper" optional package can be lowered by an additional 18cm, making it compatible with double-layer upper structures. There is still room for optimization in the "sloping back"

At the same time, the XD retains flagship-level comfort features, including a full-size refrigerator, a bidirectional folding front passenger seat, an engine tunnel lowered by 12cm, and a folding dashboard table

European flagship heavy-duty trucks are now available in Russia's grey market

The prices marked by merchants in Perm show: The FH Aero 4x2 is approximately 200,000 euros (twice the retail price in Western Europe), and the 6x4 is over 250,000 euros. Actros ProCabin is uniformly priced at 210,000 euros, and there is no warranty, service network or original factory financing.

In comparison, the domestically produced Actros 1848 4x2 from Beijing Benz is approximately 125,000 euros, while the all-new heavy-duty truck from a Chinese brand is only 77,000 to 88,000 euros. The price difference reflects the premium of sanctions and the premium of the "European quality" belief.
